Feb 6 – Lose Your Life to Find It

Last week at the end of Prayer and Share, we looked at a card from the “Radical Acts Game” (see http://time4thinkers.com/about-radical-acts) that asked the question, “Have you ever lost someone or something you really cared about, then afterwards felt like you’d found the real YOU through the experience?” As an “On Your Own” activity, the card suggested, “Take any big loss in your life and rewrite the story. Focus on the ways you may have ‘found your life’ as a result.” Along these lines, Mary Baker Eddy wrote, “The human history needs to be revised, and the material record expunged.” Is this really possible? We will look at the several related Bible stories and also have the opportunity to share personal “new life” experiences.

We’ll explore the topic of “Lose Your Life to Find It” through readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, songs, prayer, questions, discussion, and the sharing of personal experiences.Thoughts and testimony related to other topics are welcome as well.
