This week, we’ll explore the topic “Unobstructed Channels of Love” through readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, songs, prayer, questions, discussion, and the sharing of personal experiences.
The topic is based on Hymn 182 by Richard C. Trench from the Christian Science Hynmal:
Make channels for the streams of Love,
Where they may broadly run;
And Love has overflowing streams,
To fill them everyone.
But if at any time we cease
Such channels to provide,
The very founts of love for us
Will then seem parched and dried.
For we must share, if we would keep
That blessing from above;
They cease to have who cease to give:
Such is the law of Love.
On a recent float trip, our reader for Wednesday loved seeing how the river flowed, finding its way around trees, sand bars and even people to move forward – doing its job of flowing freely!
Questions to Consider:
· How do we “make channels for the streams of Love”?
· How do we recognize when we have “ceased such channels to provide”?
· How do we clear (or go around) the obstructions without allowing them to dam our progress?
· Will you share the revelations of “the law of Love” occurring in your life?
If you can’t make it to Prayer and Share, please post your ideas on the Next Generation Fellowship Facebook page and/or email me your ideas to share. Thoughts and testimony related to other topics are always welcome as well.
We hope to see you Wednesday night at 7:30 in the Sunday School. Friends and family are welcome!
