September 4 – Let’s Pray for Syria
Today Pope Francis proclaimed a day of prayer and fasting on September 7th to end the conflict in
Syria. He invited other Christians, members of other religions, and all “people of goodwill” to join the Catholic initiative in any way they saw fit. Why wait until Saturday? This week at “Prayer and Share” we’ll explore the topic
“Let’s Pray for Syria” through readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, as well as songs, prayer, questions, discussion, and the sharing of personal experiences.
Questions to consider:
· Is it important that we pray for Syria? Why?
· How do we get beyond feelings of helplessness and hopelessness in thinking about world events?
· How have you been praying?
If you can’t make it to Prayer and Share, please post your ideas on the Next Generation Fellowship Facebook page and/or email me your ideas to share. Thoughts and testimony related to other topics are always welcome as well.
